5 Things to do at home with kids!

COVID-19 might have your family stuck at home, but that doesn't have to be a reason to get you down! Although the thought of having kids around 24/7 for weeks or months might cause some anxiety, there are a multitude of ways to make this a fun time you and your kids will never forget. Below we have gathered 5 fun ways to spend time while practicing social distancing.

Family Movie Night. Movie theaters across the country closed their doors, but that is no reason not to indulge in a family movie night! Several big movie studios have opted to release their movies streaming for 19.99 as a 48-hour rental. Among the movies set to release for streaming is Trolls World Tour, which will be sure to delight all ages. AMC Theatres have also released movies for streaming. Their catalog includes new releases, as well as some old but beloved classics. With all of the options available, pop some popcorn, grab a blanket, and host a family movie night from the comfort of your own home.

Science experiments are a fun way to learn about science with a hands-on approach. Kids will love learning about how the world works outside of a book. You can stick with classics like a baking soda volcano or search the web for some new ideas. National Geographic Kids offers endless experiment ideas for all ages. As a bonus, many of the experiments require items that you already have lying around!

Cooking with the Kids.

Most Americans are so busy that they barely have time to cook the essentials. Now is a fantastic time to grab an old, favorite recipe, or search for a new one, and hang out in the kitchen. Kids love helping cook yummy food, and the skills they learn in the kitchen will last a lifetime. Try some of these fun reciepes from Delish for Kids. Pro Tip: make sure you have a camera handy, the pics you will capture of your adorable, messy little cuties will make for a great pick me up for extended family and friends!

Virtual Amusement Park Rides!

Spring Break plans were thwarted, but you can still experience some of the fun. Disney offers rides from parks around the world to stream. Gather your kids around and take a ride on It's a Small World. It will double as a reminder that we are all in this together.

Crafts, Crafts, Crafts!

March 19th marks the first day of spring in the Northern hemisphere. This is the perfect time to liven up your house with some spring crafts. Easy Peasy and Fun has craft ideas for all ages. Kids love making beautiful creations, and the crafts will become memories you will cherish for a lifetime.

Although there is uncertainty in the world, this does not have to be a time to let fear into your household.
